Air Miles collectors throughout Canada will initially earn 50 Air Miles for linking their Air Miles Collector Number to their Samsung account.

Thereafter, they will earn 5 Air Miles whenever they use their Air Miles Card within their Samsung Pay electronic wallet when shopping with Air Miles partners. The partnership initially runs from August to December 2018, and there is a reward-earning limit of 5 usages (and a maximum of 25 Air Miles per week).

"The Air Miles Reward Program places a great amount of its attention on identifying current market trends and, as such, we have partnered with Samsung Canada in this new and innovative way for collectors to earn extra miles," said Bryan Pearson, president and CEO of LoyaltyOne, operator of the program. "Samsung Pay enables us to accelerate reward miles issuance to a growing segment of consumers who are interested in e-wallet transactions."

The Air Miles Reward Program in Canada boasts some 11 million active Collector Accounts, representing approximately two-thirds of all Canadian households. Air Miles Collectors can earn their reward miles when shopping with more than 200 brand-name sponsors/partners across the country, representing thousands of retail and service locations as well as their web sites.

The program offers its members the choice of using their reward miles toward aspirational rewards (such as merchandise, travel, events or attractions) or to instantly, whether in-store or online, use their miles as Air Miles Cash at participating partner locations. The Air Miles Perks feature also gives collectors extra discounts and perks for various activities such as dining, shopping, travel, entertainment, leisure and sports.
